These drawings arise from the realization—which becomes increasingly acute with age—that life unfolds as an unpredictable series of events. In their construction, I base myself on the principle of free association, consciously avoiding any logical system in the stacked objects. A sense of humor that puts things into perspective serves as a guiding principle.

Deze tekeningen ontstaan uit het besef - dat met de jaren steeds scherper wordt - hoe het leven zich ontvouwt als een onvoorspelbare reeks gebeurtenissen. In de opbouw baseer ik me op het principe van de vrije associatie, waarbij ik bewust elke logische systematiek in de gestapelde objecten vermijd. Een relativerende humor fungeert daarbij als leidraad.
